History

Hidden Valley Tree Farms not only has tree roots but family roots as well that have been growing for over 60 years.

Grandfather Earl Helsel was one of the pioneers of the Christmas Tree industry.

With a strong will and a goal in mind, he cut wild trees in the swamp of Pioneer township in Missaukee county.

He sold to buyers in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

While our growing techniques have certainly changed over the last three generations, the quality is still a priority that keeps our customers coming back year after year.

We are nestled on 80 acres of prime ground, most of which is under irrigation.

Up and Coming

With approximately 400 acres, including partnerships with my father and two uncles, we employee both full and part time employees to help in the busy spring planting/fall harvest and digging seasons. We also have help from our fourth generation. My two boys are the best two helpers a dad could have.
